Nice one, i don't wanna be arrogant but you have same problem than me : paintings looks too simple too empty this is because there's not enough textures and to improve that you should download/use some custom brushes (RobG's brushes are awesome) and try to put less resolution, i think 150dpi is good (even if the basic is 300 dpi) and when there's an error in your image try to correct it with brushe strokes and not eraser, these little correction will add some texture to the image.
I repeat it i don't wanna be arrogant i just wanna help you because i don't want you to waste your time like i did ,searching for a good tutorial or a good technique (playing with filters, adding photos, playing with blending modes, and other parameters) and in fact it was simplicity the main thing you should play with are the simpler tools (brushes, eraser, burn/dodge tool...)
But overall i gotta point this out your colors are great man, you might have some minor problem here or here but it's certainly not the colors

i tell you that because i have the same problem and i realize that each new practice painting i did recently, i improved about this (not saying it totally disapeared but i see some improvements side to side to my old paintings) oh yeah and i forgot to tell that trying illogical things is great too (i just realized that grass brushes are awesome to paint dirt for exemple)
